New budget-priced drive cylinder for robot and machine tongs

The new pneumohydraulic Powerpackage type RZS has been developed as drive for the robot and machine tongs series TZ providing 55 or 80 kN press force. The guidance and runout characteristics correspond to those of the frequently applied and proven Powerpackage type RZK. The new model, however, is designed less costly as straight cylinder without stroke adjustment. This results in a price and weight reduction of the TZ tongs and is an ideal solution if other stroke adjustment measures can be applied, or if an adjustment is not required. This, for example, applies to clinching operations where the quality dimension "X" is rarely altered respectively the adjustment of the die adjustment shim can be made without time pressure. Or, often valid for piercing or punching processes, if the total stroke of the cylinder does not need to be adjusted. For the latter processes, the high cylinder guidance precision works in favour of the cutting tool edge layout.
Due to the equal flange terminal of the RZS cylinder it is exchangable with the RZK units in compact design having the total stroke adjustment feature included.

The attractively priced Powerpackages RZS are standard available in 6 bar execution with 100 or 200 mm total stroke.
